Ripple CEO says 55 million Americans use crypto daily, Brad Garlinghouse says before Senate hearing
Today is a great day for XRP holders. Ripple company boss Brad Garlinghouse is going to give a historical speech in the United States Senate today.
Before giving the speech on 9 July 2025, he made a post on X (Twitter) and said that he is sharing the transcript (completely written version) of the speech, so that everyone can understand what is the real meaning of this speech.
Brad says that 55 million people use crypto daily in America, this means that crypto is no longer just an investment, but people are also using it in their daily lives.

The Committee was also told that the XRP Ledger is a decentralized system meaning it is not under the control of any one person or company. But Ripple ceo has always tried to work in accordance with the law, so that the benefits of crypto can reach more people.
Ripple has worked closely with rule makers (policy makers and regulators) around the world, as a result of which Ripple has received more than 60 licenses so far, which include payment service, crypto and money transfer.
The main point of the speech was that blockchain technology helps Ripple to fulfill the idea of the Internet of Value that is, just as we easily share information today, money can also be transferred easily and quickly.
Today Ripple uses the XRP Ledger to make transactions worth billions of dollars every day. Using the XRP Ledger, the process of sending money becomes cheaper, faster and easier – especially when money has to be sent from one country to another.
Today the world’s cross-border money transfer market is worth $155 trillion, and Ripple is trying to make its place in this market. An example is that SWIFT (which is an old and famous money transfer system) can also include XRP Ledger in its payments system in the future because people want instant settlement (for payment) nowadays.
But Brad Garlinghouse had also said earlier that Ripple ceo considers SWIFT as its competition. Now when legal cases are going in favor of Ripple, the competition between Ripple vs. SWIFT has become very interesting on one side there is a 50-year-old trusted system, and on the other side there is a new and modern technology company.
